The Central West Garden and Lifestyle Expo will have one of Australia's best known authors, gardeners & tour guides Mary Moody to open this year’s event.

Mary started her career as a cadet journalist for the Australian Womans Weekly.

In 1992 she becoame a weekly presenter on the ABC Television gardening program "Gardening Australia". This role continued for 9 years which combined with editing a series of organic gardening magazines & producing several gardeing documentaries.

In 2000, Mary spent 6 months living in Southwest France & wrote a best-selling book ( Au Revoir - Running away from home at 50).

In 2001, Mary moved to Yetholme in the Blue Mountains to a 25 acre property. Over the past 5 years Mary has developed an extensive ornamental garden. Eventually Mary plans to open the garden to the public & to restore the old community hall that nestles behind the farm house to run a series of gardening workshops.

Since then Mary has followed her succes with 3 further memoirs and divides her time between the family farm, the house in France, leading botanical walking tours in France and various regions of the Himalayas and various guest appearances at events such as ours.

Mary will be sharing her experiences with us during both Saturday March 19th and Sunday March 20th  at the Central West Garden and Lifestyle Expo at Borenore, 15 kilometres west of Orange.
